Hi, Terence

I gave the instruction Tim refers to based on the assumption that the guys were novices to the sonnet.  If you want to post a French sonnet instead of one we've already discussed, there's one requirement...that you take a little weight off the Teacher and include an explanation of the strictures of the form.

Deal?

Welcome Terence,
As far as posting a sonnet is concerned, we(the humble students of this forum) are in the process of posting a sonnet right now. Add a thread to this forum with the poem in question. You should probably IM Eric (dericlee) to ask if he would permit a French Sonnet in right now. He requested that we craft a piece based on the styles already discussed.
Either way, it is good to see aboard. Please feel free to IM or better yet, post your questions in the Sperry Car. By doing so others that may have the same issue will get their problems addressed.  Smiley

Hi everyone,

This is my first post. I see that this is an instructional thread and I still have to do more reading. I would like to jump into the deep end with a French sonnet but don't see members posting their poems here for review. Should I be considering posting in the Forms thread instead?

I look forward to learning more and hope that I will also be able to meaningfully contribute.

Hi Andy.

Hey, Dave...nice riding dismount-and-board!  Done like a true Western outlaw.

Welcome aboard, both of you.

I happen to love Texas-Hold 'em ~ so y'all can count me in too Wink ~ but I never seem to know when to hold 'em or when to fold 'em ??? I can't grasp the poker face thing, either--Anyway -- I also want to write a sonnet or two -- sounds like lots of fun!

Eric,

To take a line from those Texas-Hold-'em boys...

"I'm ALL in!"

And, oh yes, here is another opportunity to get in my favorite motivation line: "Who dares to teach must never cease to learn."
